Frequently asked questions
What’s the practical application of the Mindset Cube?
The Cube is not meant to solve each problem, but to serve as a base for managers and teams on how to behave depending on specific resources and growth factors. Using our website you can determine which mindset to use in different cases, answering a set of questions to assess the situation you are in.
How are we meant to use it?
Once you answer the website’s set of questions, you can determine which mindset would be best to apply in each situation, depending on resource availability and expected growth. You can then use this information to determine which actions you should implement.
And now, what? What’s the next step?
If sufficient interest arises, we would like to initiate some knowledge meetups (quarterly) within the company, where interested people can learn more about the mindset concept and the use of our tool. If those are successful, we could even think about inserting this concept into onboarding presentations, to make sure it is shared right from the get go.
How did you come up with the idea?
In the beginning, the topic of our project was: from scarcity to abundance. We started challenging this assumption, and discovered that scarcity and abundance are not mutually exclusive, but must be used differently depending on the context we are in. Therefore, during our research, we were brainstorming several possibilities on how to apply the best mindset depending on the current factors, and we came across the BCG matrix, which is used to evaluate the situation in which a company finds itself in financially and in terms of products. We thought, why not apply this concept to our theme? And here we are 😊
Is there anything similar out there?
There is nothing similar when it comes to mindsets mapping, but there are other matrixes (such as the BCG one) which try to address other issues.
How do we stick to the rules that we define after applying the cube?
We need to make sure to communicate and align clearly on what goals and priorities are, to make sure we do not lose track of which face of the cube we find ourselves in.
How do we make sure people follow through?
As always, each team manager is responsible for making sure that his/her team is following the guidelines given. These obviously are just instructions, not dogmas to be followed blindly. Communication and understanding remain the critical aspect of this.
How does it help with communication?
Knowing what to do in a specific situation can help managers to better communicate the course of action to his subordinates, while improving the understanding of the conditions of the latter. Open and clear communication is always the key to making sure that people stay motivated even through tough times.
Who should use the Mindset Cube - teams, managers, individuals?
Everybody can use the cube to a different end. Managers may use it to get a glimpse at the situation and better understand what to do and how to communicate with their team, individuals and teams can use it to show comprehension of the current situation and behave accordingly.
How can managers benefit from it?
Managers can use the Cube to better assess their team’s situation, adapt their leadership style, and communicate the right mindset clearly. It helps them guide teams with greater focus, resilience, and alignment.
How can teams benefit from the it?
Teams can use the Cube to recognize their environment, adjust their behaviors, and collaborate more effectively. It supports smarter decision-making, shared understanding, and stronger team dynamics across changing conditions.
